Driven conference participants hit the streets of Northeast Franklin County in partnership with the Clearview Church today with $10 dollars in their pockets from Driven. Grouped together in teams of 5 with a collective $50 dollars they where encouraged to give all of it away in the most creative way possible that will allow them to make the most contacts for the Clearview Church. A winning team will be determined based on the most effective contact making opportunity that demonstrated a real creativity by the group. After being encouraged to give people a sample of the Kingdom of God this event give conference goers a tangible opportunity to be a blessing to others. Praise God for the seeds sown through this event!

27 06 2008Driven08 is officially underway! We’re here in a rain soaked (but the sun is… actually out right now) Westerville, OH at beautiful Otterbein College for the 4th annual conference. We got underway just after 8 last night with Ezra and the band, followed by Jeff “Nuke Em” Bogue.
Jeff Challenged us all to live an undivided life. Audio of this session will be up soon, I’ll be sure to make an announcement of it when it becomes available.
This morning kicked off with a breakfast in the Cardinal’s Nest and then on to workshops. Some of the workshops offered today were on Male Passivity, Church Planting and Money.
The morning session was brought to us by Kary Oberbrunner, speaking on an undivided life. Kary told an inspiring story about a man who inspired many. Audio of this will be available soon as well.
I’ll be back later with more from Driven08.

Kind Words for Driven. Don’t miss Driven08!
1 04 2008A catalytic experience for renewal, networking, and envisioning. A conversation among leaders whose passion and stewardship will give shape to coming decades of ministry. A gathering that stimulates passion for God’s work. A place to be and become. Driven is all of this and more. Grace College and Seminary believes in this experience. – Ron Manahan, President, Grace College and Seminary
Driven is a Greenhouse for future generation leaders. If you are in your “twenties” and want to make significant difference then come to Driven. We endorse the Driven Movement with great confidence knowing it is a super venue to catapult future leaders. Jim Brown Moderator FGBC Goshen GBC
Driven provides a great opportunity for young men and women to connect more closely to God, to one another and to the needs of others. GBIM is very pleased to endorse these encounters because they encourage twenty-somethings to integrate more fully into God’s passion for his world. – Dave Guiles, Executive Director for Grace Brethren Int’l Missions.
I wish that Driven had existed when I was working with college students almost twenty years ago. It’s a great venue for gathering, encouraging, and equipping the next generation of leaders in our Fellowship of churches. We need these people on the FGBC team as we go on mission in the 21st century. Todd Scoles Marysville GBC North Central Ohio District Coordinator
Thanks for the work on Driven each year. I know any young adults will enjoy the opportunity to learn, share and be challenged. The leaders of Driven do a great job in their planning! Ed Lewis CE National Executive Director
If the FGBC is to thrive in the future we must recruit and empower a new generation of leaders. My hope is that through Driven some of these future leaders will build relationships that span the fellowship. Driven is designed to challenge them right where they are at in life. There is no other place in the FGBC where this can effectively happen. Dave Plaster Senior Pastor Columbus GBC

Speakers for Driven08 Revealed!
13 02 2008If the snowy weather, the Buckeyes losing and the writers strike has got you down, we’ve got good news -Driven08 is just around the corner. What better way to get you excited than to announce the speaker lineup for this year’s Driven?
Returning to be with us once again will be Jeff Bogue, who will be speaking on Thursday evening. Jeff is pastor at Grace Church North Campus in Akron, OH and a regular speaker at Driven.
Also returning this year will be Author and pastor Kary Oberbrunner. Kary has penned two books with a third to be released soon. He is the founder of Redeem the Day Ministries and is a pastor at Grace Church of Powell in Powell, OH. He is also very bad at dodgeball. Kary will be speaking on Friday morning.
Friday evening will be a special night as we come together as a body to observe communion. Communion will be conducted by New Perspectives pastor and Driven band member Tony Livigni.
Saturday Morning will bring us Sarah Cunningham. This is Sarah’s first year at Driven. She comes to us from Jackson, Michigan where she lives with her husband Chuck. Sarah has authored an insightful book titled Dear Church: Letters From A Disillusioned Generation.
Saturday Evening’s session will be brought to us by Kondo Simfukwe. Kondo is coming to us from Winona Lake and Christ’s Covenant Church. Last year Kondo challenged us to claim a piece of land and overcome our giants. For a quick documentary on last years challenge go here .
Finally on the Sunday morning to close of the conference will be Keith Minier. Keith is pastor at Grace Fellowship in Pickerington, OH and has served as Driven’s MC for the past few years.
