One becomes driven when God lays on their heart what they ultimately were born to be. Their land is in sight and in spite of the giants that might be living there, individuals driven for Him don’t try to foolishly limit the power of God, but rely wholeheartedly on it. Once they take hold of that land God continues to work, showing people the plentiful harvest that there is in their land, and they are certainly needed there to reap the harvest. The souls of men and women are one of the few things that will endure forever. Where they spend eternity should be enough to drive us to minister to them in the many different ways we feel called.
During a surf camp or a Soul’nami Take0ver there are three points we try to get across 1. Stand on the Shore ( a surfer evaluates the waves). 2. Get in the Water (a surfer has to take the next step) 3. Ride the Wave (You’re not Surfing until you do)…..
As a follower of Jesus we can see our communities……this can be done at a distance (standing on the shore). But as a follower of Jesus we must live The Message immursed in our communities (Get into the water). However, we are not ‘Following Jesus’ until we ARE Jesus to a Pre-following community.(Ride the Wave)
There are a great many people who embrace surf culture: who wear the clothes, dream the dream, but unless you get in the water & ride the wave there is little difference between you and the masses standing on the shore. Likewise there are a great many who call themselves Followers of Jesus who have yet to be mobilized in their faith……
I’m preaching to the choir here…..
Driven was a blast we’ll wait and see the after effects….”If we’re out of our minds it’s for Christs sake, if we’re in our right minds it’s for the worlds sake for Christs love DRIVES us. For we are convinced that one died for all and therefore all died. And He died so that those who live MAY NOT LIVE FOR THEMSELVES but for the ONE who died and was raised again – To the Corinthian Christians
